Terms of service

The rules for using the service, in plain English.

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and ProfitMaps AI (“we”, “us”), which runs ProfitMaps AI. By signing in to or using ProfitMaps AI you accept them. If you use it for a business or on behalf of clients, you accept them for that business too, and you confirm you are allowed to.

2. What the service does

ProfitMaps AI checks where local businesses appear on Google Maps across a grid of points (a “scan”), and helps you act on the results: branded reports, site plans and websites, page articles and Google Business Profile posts, outreach to businesses, and the leads those websites bring in. Scan results come from search data at the moment of the scan. Rankings move constantly, so a result describes that moment and is not a promise about any other.

3. Your account

  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has them.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including what teammates and client logins you add do there.
  • Give us accurate details, and keep your email address current: it is how we reach you about your account.

4. Plans, credits and payment

What you can use depends on the plan you bought, as shown on the Plans screen. Scans and some other actions spend credits; the cost is shown before you start. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Purchases are made through the checkout on our sales pages, under the price, renewal and refund terms shown there at the time you buy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else to, including anti-spam and data protection laws when you contact businesses or their customers;
  • send outreach or follow-up email to people who have asked not to hear from you, or without the unsubscribe link we add;
  • publish content that is false, misleading, defamatory or that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • try to get around plan limits, credit charges or security, or overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service;
  • resell or share access to the service except through the client and team features it provides.

We may suspend an account that does any of these, and will tell you why.

6. Your content

What you put into ProfitMaps AI (business details, logos, keywords, text you write) and what it produces for you (reports, articles, posts, website pages) stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so far as we need to run the service for you. You are responsible for having the right to use what you upload, and for checking AI-written text before you publish it.

7. Other services

Parts of ProfitMaps AI work with services run by others: Google Maps data, the website builder, email delivery, and the AI account you connect for writing. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for an outage or change on their side, though we will do what we reasonably can to work around one.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep ProfitMaps AI running and improving, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove something your plan depends on, we will tell you in advance where we can.

9. Limits on our responsibility

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost clients or lost data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using ProfitMaps AI at any time; to close your account, use the Support page. We may close or suspend an account that breaks these terms. After an account is closed we delete its data as described in our Privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell you by email or in the app before a change that matters takes effect. Using ProfitMaps AI after that means you accept the new terms.
